Some years ago, if i'm not mistaken on Soundclick.com where i have a profile too..
Is it posssible for an artist to really have an effect on the world? If so, how?
Yes, it is, most certainly. As it is for another human beeing. Anyone can make difference! Look at LiveAid, didn't it make a difference, at least for some time? So many people have made in impact on the life of others. Artist are, many times, role-models. They can make an even bigger impact on the life of people, especially young people. I know people like Bob Dylan, Larry Norman, U2's Bono and others have influenced my thinking and acting!
What makes a song important to you?
The content of a song, the lyrics. Does it make me feel good, does it make me change, does it make an impact? If so, it's important.

You have a small handful of songs that are rare gems of originality- definitely show some undeveloped skills if you ever get the notion to pursue songwriting more seriously :)
